Ghosted Again & Getting Tired of Online Dating

It's not even the online dating, or the disrespect and ignorance of these seemingly awesome people that really hurts. It's the feeling of being not good enough. Not important enough to even warrant a text back after seemingly weeks of back and forth "good morning, good night" and everything in between texts. It's knowing it wasn't me, but yet not knowing why.

It's the painful wait and yearning to hear something. Anything - even after suspicious lags in calls, texts and terms of endearment. It's actually believing in something real only to have it all crumble and simply fade away - without a reason, idea or second thought. I'm one of those who feel too much, reason, question, respect, research and repeat these empty relationships. Just hoping to find my person.

I'm not one to let ghosters have their passive-aggressive, emotionalally abusive last "non-say." I call these fuckers out. No bashing, begging, name-calling or otherwise. I just hope I'm their last victim.

A True Alkie's Dream

I had a dream this afternoon. I never record dreams, much less anything else. Since my diary is reserved as an outlet for frustrations and rage, and this seemed one step above "notepad worthy", here goes...

I seemed quite sober and was at a little bar. I was about to order a drink and noticed an unstable woman on my left. The bartender, a small, skinny gal with thin longer hair asked what would I like, and I wracked my brain for something strong but light tasting. I ordered a double (fancy) vodka with a shot of Malibu rum (or similar) on ice. The bartender exclaimed "Hey, that's my favorite... I drink 7 of those a night"! I may have ordered 2 of these but clearly remember thinking, as I observed the small, tall glass she was using to prepare my delicious drink on ice ... "that's not too bad. Not bad at all."

Internet Time Wasters

I have recently rediscovered my love for all things internet.

For example, I am back on Polyvore again which I previously gave up due to boredom,  university and other priorities. Because I am such a newbie to blogging, I don't want to attempt to paste my Polyvore badge here seeing that a bunch of java script instead of the badge appears in preview mode. I stumbled upon this fashion "scrapbooking-like" website where you can coordinate & rearrange clothes, accessories, backgrounds and embellishments, follow other member's accounts, shop online so forth. My profile name is misterpiko if you are interested.

My absolute favourite thing to do online, however, would be to go on Second Life. I have wasted many many hours including late nights on this game, which can be described as an MMPORG- multimedia player online role playing game. (or something similar)

No Internet junkie would be anywhere without her smartphone; hence my new-found love for the free downloadable app, The Sims Freeplay. It is somewhat similar to Second Life but it is a true game in the sense that there are goals and rewards for advancing. In Second Life your goals are what you make them (more similar to real life). I think it's so addictive because you can do whatever you want to do for free... you name it! You can go to Disney World, shop for oodles of free clothing, have a baby, visit the eiffel tower, and become a transformer or Kenny from South Park all in one day.

Who knows how long this post has been sitting in my Drafts for because surely I had more important things to add but just didn't get around to it. So I found something to add! Pinterest - specifically My Pinterest page. Yay, Pinterest! How do you find me? Copy and paste - http://www.pinterest.com/pinterpiko/

I may post  photos of all of the wonderful gently used items I am selling (mostly womens size Medium) in the near future here on Blogger/Google+, Pinterest, and/or Craigslist. Till then, congratulations on reading this until the end!

Update: I will start posting my items to Chilliwack Buy & Sell - Facebook group. Anything that doesn't sell I may put on Craigslist. (Except the wedding dress pictured as my profile pic).

Have a great day!

10 Ways to Love Your Life

How to Love Your Life                       02/20/13

I've read many tips about loving life. I have a list in my head and figure I would share it with you all to start off my blogging career. (Yes, its my very first time)! Being a blog virgin and all, I was hoping you could reply with any blogging tips along with your favorite way that you love your life.

1. Have Gratitude. If you aren't feeling grateful or worse, selfish... Make a short gratitude list. I list 3 things I am grateful for nearly every evening.

2. Pray and/or Meditate. You can pray without even knowing what or who your praying to. If that doesn't float your boat, try a free online meditation. YouTube has many.

3. Keep friends and family close. Tell one of them one nice thing you like about them every day. If you are having a disagreement, even just thinking about what you like about them will do.

4. Help Others. Volunteer, give to charity, lend an ear for a friend in need, join a worthy cause, and/or smile at a stranger.

5. Exercise & Eat Healthy Foods. Try just 10 mins of vigorous exercise a day if you are like me and prefer your sofa. Eat less meat, especially red, and load up on whole grains, fruits & veggies.

6. Journal and Take Time Outs. Yep you heard me... time outs aren't only good for the kiddies.  Take 10 or so to write in your journal (if you don't have one I recommend looking in the dollar store. Try some breathing exercises if you're super busy.

7. Love Pets and Nature. If you don't have a pet, I feel very sad for you. My cat and dog are extremely therapeutic and are a huge part of my family. Go for a walk with the dog & enjoy the beauty that surrounds you.

8. Take Time for You.  Alone time doing what you enjoy without worrying about anything or anyone else on a regular basis can do busy bodies a world of good.

9. Take "Inventory". Taking stock of your undesirable thoughts and behaviors helps to make you a more pleasant person. Get rid of them (Personally, I ask God to remove them and to show me what corrective measures should be taken) Make amends if need be. Don't forget to pat yourself on the back for all the good thoughts and behaviours that make you you.

10. Be Yourself. There's enough of everyone else to go around!
